Problem: Re-create a book cover for a classic novel. Graphics may only be typographical.
Solution: I created a book cover for Homer's The Odyssey. Having read the classic many times, I wanted to emulate feelings brought about through the story by the protagonist in the cover design. By utilizing typographic color, I created a sense of two 'opposing' sides narrowing in on one another. This is to link back to the feelings of conflict throughout the classic. The new design would be created to entice a younger demographic to read the classic.
A poster was also created to advertise for the re-branded classic. This poster would be displayed in schools and libraries.
